Fact: Women loves flower. Fact: Women do love cars too like man does. But, flower and cars seemed like contradicting isn’t it? It’s hard to imagine combining a muscularity of a car and femininity of a flower, but waiting until you smell the flowery scent of the Lavender scented tires! I have discovered this in the blog of a car lover Rob Braun in Blogger.com. Here he talks about how his wife hates the smell of tires… Well she’s right! The smell of tires isn’t that good. Thanks to Kumho for offering a new trend for smelly tires. Imagine the sweet scent of lavender in tires. For me, its aromatic… soothing in my senses.

The Lavenders Lavandula are a genus of about 25-30 species of flowering plants in the mint family. Lavenders are widely grown in gardens. Flower spikes are used for dried flower arrangements. The fragrant, pale purple flowers and flower buds are used in potpourris. Lavender flowers yield abundant nectar which yields a high quality honey for beekeepers. Also it has been used extensively in herbalism. Furthermore, Lavender lends a floral, slightly sweet and elegant flavor to most dishes. For most cooking applications it is the dried buds of lavender that are utilized, though some chefs experiment with the leaves as well.

Kumho has decided to bring out something unique to tire wear. The Ecsta DX Aroma is the company’s Grand Touring All-Season tire design made for fashion-conscious drivers who enjoy products that will set their sedans and coupes apart from everyone else’s. With the Ecsta DX Aroma enthralling scent that changes the rubber smell with a delicate scent of lavender one can surely be amused with its relaxing scent. Moreover it is also designed to provide a comfortable ride and low noise while blending good wear with dry, wet and year-round traction.

How did Kumho do such kind of innovation in tires? They employ a special mixing technology to mix the synthetic oil that gives off the smell of lavender into the rubber compound. (just like a lavender scented perfume for women! LOL). The lavender scented oil are heat-resistant and enhance the unions of rubber chains and maximize the viscoelasticity of the rubber compound. (viscoelasticity —— help in reducing braking distance on wet or dry roads… FYI) the Ecsta DX Aroma compound also has silica to develop all-weather performance and wet traction.

Moreover, the compound used in the Ecsta DX Aroma is made and molded to a stylish directional tread design having a continuous center rib to make it steadily in contact with the road for added highway stability. Aside from it, the tread blocks provide an optimized pitch sequence ending in variable pitch lengths to help lessen noise.

The Tire’s construction is incorporated with a high-tensile steel belts and a joint less nylon cap ply to boost the comfort and durability of the ride. Also the under tread in the tire assembly lessens unnecessary heat buildup for an unfailing performance. A big plus for the Ecsta DX Aroma! The lavender can last to more or less one year and is very noticeable after normal driving when the tire is warm!

Having this lavender scented tires by Kumho surely make your ride fresh with sweet soothing aroma while reducing tire wear! Hmmm…. I guess its time for me to have a this in my Chevy…. I hope Kumho offer this in other scents like orange, apple or even a smell of a freshly baked pineapple pie! Oh I really love the smell of pineapple pie! Wait… I have a great idea… what if a scent of strawberry or even chocolate! Well I guess this is all for now.. I feel hungry just thinking of the smell of the pineapple pie in my tires!
