For the past two years the “baby” Ferrari were being anticipated by many car enthusiast, and now the long wait is over, it was finally revealed! The said baby is the Ferrari California, a new GT that joins Ferrari’s V8 family. The GT is slot just below the 612 Scaglietti, with its new V8 which for the first time in their history is placed in the mid-front position of the car. Furthermore the California will be exclusively available as a convertible which features a folding hard top.

Here’s the picture of the California, amazing isn’t it?

This convertible features a 4.3 liter V8 engine with a direct fuel injection. A “flat” crankshaft is employed in its engine assembly offering an output of 460 horsepower at 7500 rpm which launches it from 0-100km/h in under 4 seconds. Also, the California is the first model in the range of benefit from a new 7-speed dual clutch transmission which improves the performance and driving pleasure, while simultaneously reducing emissions (c.310 g/km CO2). But then again, the amazing features of this GT just don’t stop there, it also employed with a new multilink rear suspension system with a F1-Trac traction system (which was originally employed in the 599 GTB Fiorano) and carbon-ceramic material brake discs.

The California’s interior is sure does a “W-O-W!”. New developed accessories where integrated inside it like the seats, steering wheel, instrument panel and infotainment system. Plus, its exterior shows everything what this baby got! It is inspired with a classic design, with good aerodynamics.

For sure one will be wondering what will be the price of this new Ferrari model. Well, I guess it will range from $100,000-$200,000, I based my calculation in the entry-level Ferrari. I’m not quire sure if my calculation will be right… well, let’s just wait for this convertible to be available in the market. It will be introduced in the automotive scene in the month of September at the Paris Motor Show.
