The new technology for cars has surfaced in the automotive industry, now the latest is the Delphi’s dual view navigation system. It allows a driver to view full-featured map-based navigation while the front seat passenger views video content. It is designed to be uniquely different form other navigation system since the driver cannot view the video when the vehicle is operating. There are sensors placed in the vehicle that disable the unit if the driver attempts to view video

Delphi, in their quest to produce high techy gadgets for cars have demonstrated how this dual system works and gives convenience to every car owner. The dual-view display integrated navigation radio allows the driver to view a full-featured, color navigation map on a 7-inch touch-screen interface system while the passenger can enjoy satellite video or DVD. Furthermore the new navigation system features voice recognition, DVD-R, DVD-VX and advanced satellite radio features The new satellite radio includes new channel graphics with a display bar at the screen bottom, current location and local weather. Also, a pop-up screen in the display of the radio features the three-day weather forecast. All of the graphics on the unit are 3-D.

The new navigation system with the use of a special LCD, it simultaneously displays different information depending on the direction of which screen being viewed. Delphi is also showing the dual-view technology on a rear seat video screen.
